nextgenâ„¢ – a new generation of connectors at WBT
The signal conductor of this new nextgenâ„¢ banana plug is delicately formed and made of pure copper. It is nickel-free and directly gold-plated to protect against oxidation. This preserves its high conductivity and is free from magnetic interference. The contact pin is shaped so that its three segments ‘bulge’ when the spindle is screwed in, allowing it to be firmly clamped into any terminal. The resulting consistently high contact pressure guarantees consistently low contact resistance.
Like the WBT-0645, the nextgenâ„¢ banana is also shorter thanks to its angled design, allowing for more space-saving device placement if desired. The WBT-0610 Cu also protects your cable: Thanks to the angled design, it is routed directly toward the floor and cannot be damaged by kinking.
Despite the delicate design of the signal conductor, the WBT-0610 is perfectly suited for crimping. Use the two Torx screws at the front to secure the crimped cable end, and the second one to protect your cable from tension.
The plug body is fully insulated and meets IEC safety requirements. The safety pin also prevents accidental insertion of the plug into a power outlet. This makes the WBT-0610 Cu fully CE compliant.
