Visit to Atacama
From March 2nd to March 6th, 2026, we visited Atacama in Leicestershire, Great Britain.
After being introduced to all the office staff, we were led directly to the production halls, which meet the highest standards and are divided into sections such as woodworking, metalworking, and a paint shop. Next door, the packaging area is located, with boxes and packaging materials of every size readily available. All departments are well-organized and connected by short distances.
The production staff explained to us how, for example, a hi-fi rack shelf is made from raw materials and what processes it goes through, right up to packaging.
We thoroughly enjoyed following the manufacturing processes and were able to build our own headphone stand the following day under the watchful eyes of quality control. Many thanks to Lucas for the detailed instructions.
In addition to the factory tour, product training sessions with Dennis were also on the agenda. Here we were able to deepen our knowledge in theory and practice and exchange information about products from the past, present, and even prototypes of the future.
We would like to thank all the Atacama staff, especially Carl and Dennis, for a wonderful time filled with many impressions, interesting and valuable conversations, and perfect support and all-round service. Our time in Leicestershire was incredibly enriching, and we look forward to further close and productive cooperation.
In conclusion, we would like to emphasize once again that all Atacama and Apollo products are “Made in UK”. Atacama stands for the highest quality and workmanship, which we were able to confirm during our visit to Leicestershire.
